To celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month, I will be reviewing a pink nail polish for every day in October. Every year 12,000 women and 80 men die of breast cancer and every year almost 50,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with the disease. To show their support, a number of nail brands are making donations to their nominated charity with sales of their BCA nail products. The proceeds will go towards vital research for earlier detection, better treatments, improving quality of life and ultimately saving lives by finding a cure.
Dana is a bright cerise-red creme in a streak free formula that applies with ease. This colour was released as part of the Zoya Flash Summer 2010 nail polish collection and I’ve had it in my collection since. Whilst looking for the perfect pinks to be featured, I came across this beauty. The first coat gave great coverage but it was more on the sheer side. With a second thick coat, my nails were completely opaque and complete with a glossy finish. Dana dried pretty quickly and within 10 minutes I was able to get on with my day.
Fact of the Day:
The number of people being diagnosed with breast cancer is increasing, but the good news is survival rates are improving. This is probably because of more targeted treatments, earlier detection and better breast awareness.
