Every September, I always look forward to the Olympia Beauty show. This year I almost missed both days due to work commitments but after a couple of late nighters and last minute planning, I was able to make the show this year too. These events always make me feel like ‘a kid in a candy store’ but I was going to do my best to not overspend. It’s always great to have hope…
|WARNING: Despite my best editing, please beware this is still a heavy picture post. Apologies.|
First stop was at SpaRitual. I’ve been keen to try more of their nail polishes since my first review of the their Spring 2013 collection.
From their Share Fall 2013 collection, I picked up a few colours to compliment my Autumn wardrobe.
SpaRitual also debuted their Illuminate Winter 2013 collection at the show. These nail polishes are infused with recycled glass and I was curious to see these swatched so I also added these to my basket.
Over at the Seche counter, I debated over buying nail polishes after my not-so-positive experience with their Spring 2013 collection.
I decided to give Seche nail polishes another chance and chose a few colours from their Clever and Confident Fall 2013 colours.
Around the corner from Seche, I stopped by Essie to see what was on offer.
I’m always excited when I get to the Essie stand as there usually are a number of upcoming releases that I am always hoping they would have in stock, but on this occasion, they only had their Fall 2013 polishes. Despite not being entirely convinced with the preview images of this collection, in person the colours were certainly more impressive.
Also near the Essie stand, I came across the stunning colours on offer from Morgan Taylor. I reviewed one of their gorgeous greens a while ago and after being so impressed with the performance of this colour, I could hardly wait to try more of their nail polishes.
Next stop was at the OPI stand to pick up a few colours from their Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 release. Whilst overlooking the overwhelming number of reds in this collection, I chose a few colours that I thought may be different from others I own. Key word being ‘thought’.
OPI also had colours from their San Francisco Autumn Winter 2013 collection, but I resisted the temptation and decided these colours can wait until next month… perhaps.
Over at Nubar, I stopped by for a couple of nail polishes from their Wild West Autumn 2013 collection.
I’ve seen Cuccio exhibit on a number occassions, but it wasn’t until this event that I decided to try some of their products. I selected a few colours from their Neon collection. With my bag being filled with rich, deep hues of the autumn winter collections I bought earlier, I needed something to brighten up my purchases.
At the Color Club stand, I picked up colours from both their Girl About Town and their Harlem Lights collections.
Last stop for purchases that day was at the China Glaze stand. Despite the number of colours on display and full stock of their latest collections, by this point, my feet were in need of a break so I picked a couple colours from their Autumn polishes and headed for the exit sign.
The China Glaze Monsters Ball Halloween 2013 nail polishes were available.
They debuted their Happy Holiglaze collection whilst offering these cute Christmas sets as options.
After a long, but fun day at the show, I planned on returning the next day to attend the seminars (no shopping) but alas, that was a tad optimistic of myself.
