Though Summer is almost over, I am desparately trying to enjoy my brights before it is officially time to put them away. This season, the China Glaze Sunsational collection introduced a dozen hot hues in both jelly and creme finishes. I picked up three colours that I thought would be ideal for some summer fun!
China Glaze Sunsational Review
That’s Shore Bright is a super saturated rich lavender crème with a debatable neon-like formula. It applied perfectly in two medium thick coats and dries rapidly to a semi matte finish. It is a pretty hue though not very unique, it looks great on nails and toes in summer.
Are You Jelly? is an electric purple with a semi sheer jelly finish. I do enjoy wearing most jellies but despise the trouble I endure aiming for an even, opaque finish. The first coat I applied was quite sheer and so I added two more thick coats and added a layer of topcoat for added gloss and shine.
Keepin It Teal is a green leaning teal neon jelly. Similar to Are You Jelly, this jelly was semi sheer and required four thick coats to achieve full opacity. Though on the plus side, each coat dried very quickly and despite using four coats, the formula levelled off evenly. I then added a layer of topcoat for some much required shine.
