The Nubar My Sweet Escape Spring 2013 collection was released earlier on this year. I picked up six of the eight colours to review as I have been a fan of Nubar polishes for some time now. The collection consists of bright, bold shades which I have been eager to swatch.
The six colours I chose from the Nubar Spring collection are:
On The Radar | Forbidden Fruit | Resort Yellow | Sour Apple | Into The Wild | Dusk Till Dawn
Nubar My Sweet Escape Spring 2013 Collection
On The Radar is a fire brick reddy-orange jelly. The application was effortless and the formulation left an almost mirrolike shine before I even added a top coat. With just two medium thick coats of the polish, I had full coverage and a gorgeous glossy manicure that lasted more than four days.
Forbidden Fruit is a muted pumpkin orange which looks like its mixed with a toffee brown at certain angles. This is certainly an unusual colour and unlike any other orange in my collection. With two thin coats, my nails were fully covered. The first coat left a few patches but the second coat covered those up and levelled off really well.
Resort Yellow is a neon lemon yellow jelly. I absolutely love the vibrancy of this colour. It is insanely bright and striking; ideal for the Summer sun we are having in London. The first coat I applied had a few patches and so I added a second medium thick coat. There were still gaps and so I added a third coat and after a few minutes this dried with a semi matte finish and levelled off perfectly.
Sour Apple is a vivid lime creme with strong yellow undertones. Despite the neon-like formula, the first coat glided on really smoothly and left behind full coverage with no patches or visible brush strokes. For reassurance, I added a thin second coat of polish and sealed with a top coat.
Into The Wild is a stunning emerald green creme with heavy blue undertones. I loved this colour on my nails. It is a really pretty green on camera and in person. The formula worked like a dream making the application smooth and was very self levelling with the two coats of polish I applied.
Dusk Till Dawn is a deep royal blue creme. Similar to some of the other polishes in this collection, the formula was creamy and glossy. With two medium thick coats, my nails were covered in gorgeous blocks of colour.
